Welcome to the Parish Church of St Paul, located at the heart of the residential estate of Wheatley Park, approximately 1.5 miles from Doncaster town centre.

The Building

Unlike most traditional churches, St Paul's is a relatively modern building, dating back only to the 1950's. It was originally built as a district church, an extension of the neighbouring parish of St Mary's, on the edge of the town centre, subsequently becoming a parish church in its own right just a few years ago.

The building has been designed as a community facility and contains halls and meeting rooms, as well as a worship and chapel area. As a community resource, the facilities are used by local residents and community projects, and are also available for private hire. The modern catering facilities and large halls make it an ideal venue for weddings, parties and other private functions.

LATEST NEWS

St Paul's Parish Week-End away at Green Gables-Scarborough

Nearly all of the people of St Paul's enjoyed a relaxing week-end away recently. Activities included walking in and around Scarborough and the surrounding countryside. Saturday evening was spent in a relaxing time of fellowship, singing, and enjoying each other's company in the presence of God. Holy Communion was celebrated on Sunday morning with the Revd. Jack Davies. An enjoyable week-end!

Wheatley Churches Together

Together with St Paul's, Wheatley Churches Together held the annual open-air service on Sunday 22nd June. Before the service members from all the churches walked around Wheatley accompanied by the Wheatley Boys Brigade.

At the service a representative of Samaritan's Purse spoke about the work that was being done with children in areas of deprivation in other countries. The Boys Brigade led the worship with "Be Still for the Presence of the Lord" and "Amazing Grace", whilst St Paul's musicians finished the worship with "Brother let me be Your servant" and "In Christ alone my hope is found". The collection raised the magnificent sum of £230 for the work of Samaritan's Purse.

St Paul’s Parish Prayer
Heavenly Father, we pray for the people of this church and parish of St Paul. Make us wise to understand your ways, and faithful to walk in your paths. May Christ shine his light in our hearts, and the Holy Spirit bear fruit in our lives. Fashion us into a fellowship of love, that we may serve and witness to the glory of your Kingdom; In Jesus' name.  Amen.
