Cancer BACUP UK  - cancer information service with practical advice and support for cancer patients, their families and carers.

Cancerlink - Helping people with cancer.

Compassionate Friends - A site for bereaved parents.

CRUSE Bereavement Care - The established charity for bereavement counselling.

Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths - A site for parents who have lost babies and small children, including those who have succumbed to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.

Grief & Loss Resource site - A wonderful resource for those experiencing the trauma of bereavement.

National Association of Widows - A national body, with local branches, run by widows for widows.

SANDS (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society) - Support for parents and families whose baby is stillborn or dies soon after birth

The Samaritans - An international organisation providing 24 hours a day to provide confidential emotional support for people who are experiencing feelings of distress or despair, including those which may lead to suicide.

The Terence Higgins Trust - The leading HIV & AIDS charity in the UK and the largest in Europe, set up in response to the HIV epidemic.

Victim Support - An independent charity which helps people cope with the effects of crime.
